Dear Joy is a music project created by the singer/songwriter and composer Lou Vilstrup. She recorded her demo EP togehter with Steve Belgrave with a sold out launch at Old Queens Head, London. Her words and melodies are intertwined with telling stories from every corner of the heart. She is currently spending her free time developing her own sound, being in the very early stages of arranging and producing a collection of all her best songs.

In 2014 she was nominated for the Best of British Unsigned in the Best Female category, which lead to various radio plays. She has co-written with James Bryan - producer of Nelly Furtado, Olly Muirs, Jason Mraz to name a few, and is continously collaborating, lending her vocals and songwriting onto various other projects. 

From performing on world stages for the talented Qatari composer Dana Al Fardan, whilst writing music for brands such as Costa Coffee and Thomsons, Lou is also performing and co-creating the music for contemporary dance company Made by Katie Green - touring summer 2018 in various caves around the UK. 

Lou and Max Perryment have just finished writing the music for 'Buddy Goes to Nollywood' screening at different film Festivals in 2019.

Since lockdown Lou has created her own intimate online events fusing her passion for therapy and music together a taking her audience on an inner journey.
