Dear Joy is a music project created by the singer/songwriter and composer Lou Vilstrup. She recorded her first demo EP togehter with Steve Belgrave with a sold out launch at Old Queens Head, London. Her words and melodies are intertwined with lyrics telling stories from every corner of the heart. She is currently working on her debut album, arranging and producing a collection of her own songs.

In 2014 she was nominated for the Best of British Unsigned in the Best Female category, which lead to various radio plays. She has co-written with James Bryan - producer of Nelly Furtado, Olly Muirs, Jason Mraz to name a few, and is continously collaborating, lending her vocals and songwriting onto various other projects.

From performing on world stages for the talented Qatari composer Dana Al Fardan, whilst writing music for brands such as Costa Coffee and Thomsons, Lou is also performing and co-creating the music for contemporary dance company Made by Katie Green - going on tour summer 2018 in various caves around the UK.

Lou and Max Perryment have just finished writing music for 'Buddy Goes to Nollywood' coming out in late 2018, and are working on other film music together.
